Web Accessibility: Creating accessible websites

Make a site accessible

Making a site accessible is to allow access to all: lights and visually impaired or people with disabilities ... Without claiming to be fully succeeded, I tried to create this site by optimizing the maximum accessiblity and promoting goodcompatibility of my web pages.

My code was certainly not error free, I invite you to me contact if you detect abnormalities affecting seriously reading this site by persons with disabilities.

This Means:

  • separate the content layout
  • semantically structured content
  • comply with W3C standards
  • approach the standards of the WAI

I did not use Javascript or Flash animations, or tables, or frames when creating this site.

I always submitted my code (X) HTML validation.

I will soon extend the use of keyboard shortcuts (accesskey) on this site.

Reading some sites allowed me to advance in this area, includinghttp://www.acces-pour-tous.net/ et www.la-grange.net and articles ofAlsacreations.

You can check by yourselfCompliance with this site W3C XHTML.
